Problem
VBWD for Hotels · Problem
Where independent hotels lose margin and guests every month.
Three leaks every independent hotel knows by heart.
You don't need another property-management system. You need to stop
paying OTAs for guests they didn't bring you, stop losing international
bookings to half-translated checkout pages, and stop running loyalty
on a paper stamp card. These three leaks are where VBWD shows up.
%
The 15–25% OTA tax
Booking.com, Expedia, and friends charge 15–25% commission on every
reservation they touch. Even your returning guests often book
via the OTA because that's where they remember finding you.
⌖
The English-only checkout
Your DACH / Italian / Korean / LatAm guests start in their language,
then hit a payment page that asks for a credit card they don't carry.
iDEAL, SEPA, TrueMoney, Toss, OXXO — the methods your market actually
uses aren't offered. You lose the booking.
▦
The paper loyalty program
Returning guests get a discount because the front-desk remembers
them. There's no system. No way to gift a free night, no way to
reward an off-season booking, no data on who your repeat guests are.
The honest framing. A 60-room hotel selling at €150 ADR with
65% occupancy clears ~€2.1M / year in room revenue. If 30% comes from OTAs
at 18% commission, that's €113K paid to OTAs annually —
before you've staffed your front desk. Plug a quarter of that leak and you're
paying for the platform 50× over.

Solution
VBWD for Hotels · Solution
A guest-facing surface that converts on your domain.
Your booking engine. Your loyalty program. Your data.
VBWD wires together what an independent hotel actually needs: a
public-facing site with CMS-managed content, a booking flow that
accepts the payment methods your guests use, and a token economy
that turns "I'd like to come back" into a discount they can spend.
Self-hosted on a VPS you control — no per-booking platform fee.
Direct bookings
No OTA cut
Room + rate browsing, calendar, stay length, guest details, payment.
The whole flow lives on your domain. Returning guests get a login;
one-time guests can check out as guests. SEO-friendly URLs from the CMS.
VBWD Booking + Checkout plugins
20+ payment methods
By region, not just by card
Stripe + PayPal for cards / SCA. YooKassa for CIS, Toss / TrueMoney /
PromptPay for Asia, Conekta / Mercado Pago for LatAm. Apple Pay &
Google Pay via the C2P2 plugin. Filtered to the guest's country.

Loyalty & gift
Token economy
Tokens earned per stay; spendable on upgrades, F&B credit, future
bookings. Giftable between accounts (great for couples and corporate).
Admin issues bonus tokens for off-season bookings or apology cases.
VBWD Token plugin · existing primitive
Multilingual is native. Pages, emails, payment UI, and
guest-portal copy all flow through one i18n layer. New languages light up
across every surface from a single admin screen — no per-page translation
deploy.

Plugin · Mainchat
VBWD for Hotels · Front-of-house chat
The chat that lives in front of your booking flow.
Mainchat is the public-facing chat widget — sits on your homepage, your
room pages, your packages page. Pre-arrival questions, "do you have parking",
"is the spa included", "we're a family of 5 — does the suite work?". The
guest never has to leave your site to get an answer, and your reception
doesn't pick up the phone for the same FAQ for the 80th time this month.
⌖
Multilingual by default
The widget reads the page locale. A guest landing on the FR site
sees French copy, gets answers in French, and their conversation thread
stays in their language end-to-end — including when reception picks it up.
▤
Knowledge-base aware
Pulls answers from your CMS pages tagged as KB content — house rules,
amenities, FAQs, packages. Marketing edits a page; chat answers update
automatically. No "let me update the bot script" workflow.
⚡
Anonymous → guest
A visitor can chat without an account. If they sign up or book,
the thread carries over with their identity attached. Reception sees
the full pre-booking conversation in the guest record from day zero.
📞
Operator hand-off
Bot greets, classifies (booking question / amenity / complaint /
local-area), and escalates to reception via the admin inbox. SLA
timers; first-response and resolution clocks. Threads can be assigned
to specific staff (concierge, spa, restaurant).
↯
Lead-capture event
Every conversation that mentions a date range or asks "available?"
emits lead.captured on the bus. Email plugin sends a
tailored follow-up, CRM plugin records the lead, sales sees it in
the morning report.
⌘
Different from LLM-Chat
Mainchat is FREE for the visitor — no token metering. It's the
front-of-house funnel. LLM-Chat (for in-app AI features like a
virtual concierge) IS metered. Same conversation primitive, different
cost model.
Available add-on: Token-Exchange. The Mainchat plugin
ships with a Token-Exchange feature available for hotel installations —
guests gift each other loyalty tokens through chat, reception tips a
guest's account as an apology, family members share their stay credit.
Activate during deployment; no extra license tier required.
Why hotels under-use chat. The classic objection is
"we'd need staff to monitor it." Mainchat handles the 70% that's pure
FAQ via the KB, and only routes the 30% that needs a human. At a
60-room hotel, that's typically 5–8 reception inquiries / day handled
without a phone call — and 1–2 booking leads / day captured that would
otherwise have bounced.

Honesty check
VBWD for Hotels · What it's not
What VBWD is not — and why you'd still ship with it.
VBWD is a guest-facing platform — booking, payments, portal, marketing.
It's not a property-management system in the operational sense. We'd
rather tell you up front than have you discover it three weeks into a
procurement cycle.
What VBWD does NOT include today
Channel manager. No automatic OTA sync (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb). Roadmap, not shipped.
Housekeeping workflows. No room-status board, no clean/dirty queue, no minibar accounting. Use your existing PMS for ops.
POS / F&B integration. The token economy can store F&B credit, but it doesn't drive your restaurant POS.
Group bookings & allotments. Single-stay flows are first-class; group rate-loading is manual today.
Hotel-specific reports. ADR / RevPAR / GOPPAR live in your PMS or BI, not in VBWD's admin.
Why hotels still pick it up
The leak isn't ops — it's the booking funnel. Your PMS already does ops. What it doesn't do is convert international guests on a multilingual public site with the right payment method.
Pair, don't replace. VBWD speaks to your PMS over webhooks. Booking lands in VBWD → confirmation fires → your PMS receives it as a reservation.
Channel manager is the partner ecosystem. Agencies build the SiteMinder / HotelRunner / DerbySoft adapter as a plugin and resell to their hotel clients.
You own the data. Self-hosted. Guest records, booking history, token ledger — all yours, exportable, GDPR-aligned by default.
Recommendation. If you're shopping for a full PMS, you're not the right buyer. If you've got a PMS that works for ops and you're bleeding margin on OTAs and international checkout — that's exactly the problem VBWD ships against.

Pricing
VBWD for Hotels · Pricing
One license per property. No per-booking fee. Pay for the software, keep the margin.
Hotel platforms typically charge a per-booking commission (1–3%) or a
per-room subscription. VBWD doesn't. You license the platform once a
year and host it yourself; every booking you take is yours, payment
processing fees aside.
Single property
Starter

The math. A 60-room hotel paying 18% OTA commission on
30% of stays at €150 ADR clears ~€113K to OTAs annually. The
Starter tier costs $499 — about 0.4% of one year's OTA bill.
